Duplex Print Test
Use a marked two-sided PDF to check the flip setting before printing your planner.
Current plan: A5 · 148 × 210 mm / 5.827 × 8.268 in · 7 pages per copy.
Find the working flip setting
Print the two-page test double-sided using the same paper and orientation as your planner PDF. Keep the front upright, then turn the sheet like a book.
Your PDF is portrait for standard presets. Begin with long-edge flip; use the test cues for a custom landscape page.
Next step
Print only the test pair first. Its front, back and top labels help you inspect what your printer actually did.
Driver labels differ. This result describes only the setup you tested; retest after changing the printer, driver, paper or orientation.
Measure front-to-back alignment
- Start with correction off. Print the test pair at 100% and confirm the back is upright.
- Face the BACK page toward you with TOP upright. Hold the sheet to a light so you can see the front ring through it.
- Measure from the front ring’s center to the back cross. Enter right and down as positive; left and up as negative.
For example, 2 mm right and 1 mm up is X = +2, Y = −1. Enter the original uncorrected shift, not a new residual from the corrected test.
Back-page correction: 0 mm horizontally, 0 mm vertically in the back-facing view. Correction = −measured shift. Front pages and finished dimensions stay fixed.
First choose “Upright and on the expected edge” above. Translation cannot fix an upside-down back.
Correction is off. The test pair measures your original alignment.
Use only for this printer, driver, tray, paper, orientation and flip setting. Reset after changing any of them. Changing the source sheet, page size or arrangement also clears the correction. Loading a saved draft requires a fresh test.
This action transfers settings through temporary browser storage, without saving a draft.
