Ten crosswords, each a different set of clues, then ten answer keys

This crossword with a word bank, easier

How the settings change the puzzle

Type each answer and its clue on a line, as WORD | clue; an answer of two words prints its lengths after the clue, (5, 4). The words cross where they share a letter, so each needs a letter in common with at least one other. New puzzle arranges the same words into a different grid, and the answer key follows the puzzle. Your words stay in this browser.

Easier or harder

For a younger solver, add the word bank: every answer is listed under the grid in alphabetical order, so the job is to match each clue to a word that fits its squares. Without it, the clue and the number of letters are all there is to go on.

Print a puzzle pack

The ready files contain ten crosswords, each a different set of twelve clues from this theme, then ten answer keys. Print pages 1 to 10 for the puzzles, and keep pages 11 to 20 for the answers.
