How the settings change the puzzle
Words use A–Z and are 2–20 letters long. The grid is 8–25 letters across. Turn on diagonal or backwards words for a harder puzzle; with both off, words run only across and down. If a word won’t fit, you’ll be asked for a bigger grid.
