A packing list for a trip abroad: documents first, then the carry-on rules for liquids, health items and the rest. Some countries and airlines refuse a US passport that expires within 6 months, so check the date before you book.
Camping checklist
Everything for a night or a week at a campsite, by where it goes: shelter, sleeping, the camp kitchen, clothes, health, tools and the extras. Cross off what you do not need, add your own, and tick each one as it goes in the car.
