Generate the orientation and alignment test
The duplex test follows the source-sheet orientation already determined by the plan and adds front, back, top and side markers plus a measured alignment target. Print only that test pair first.
Measure what physically happened
First record whether the back is upright and on the expected edge. Then measure the horizontal and vertical displacement between the front and back targets using the signed directions shown on the sheet. Zero means no measured shift; accepted corrections are limited to 5 mm in either axis.
Applying a correction is optional and must remain visible in the plan summary. The measurement belongs to the tested printer, driver, tray, paper, source sheet and orientation; changing any of them calls for a reset and new test.
Inspect order before the full run
Review the sheet-side imposition map and inserted blank positions. Two-up duplex groups may need blanks to complete a four-page group; those blanks must be visible before download and must not change logical content order.
Print a short distinctive sequence with the chosen opt-in correction, cut it as instructed, and page through it before committing paper to the complete refill.
