Spring, lines to draw

Easter, lines to draw

Everyday things, to cut and glue

How to use it

A shadow has no colours or details, so the child has to look at each picture’s outline: the bunny’s long ears, the handle of the basket, the points of the star. Ask what gives each shadow away before the child draws the line. Cut and glue suits a child who is not yet drawing lines, and practises cutting at the same time.

Which pictures

Each set has six pictures. The Halloween, Christmas and Easter sets suit the weeks before each; everyday things work all year round. Shuffle the order prints the shadows in a new order, with its puzzle number at the foot to print it again.

Number word matching worksheets

Numbers down one side and their words down the other, in a shuffled order, to join with a line: 3 to three, 15 to fifteen. Choose the numbers, 1 to 10, the teens or any run from 0 to 20, and which way round; seven pairs fit on a page and the answer key follows.
